Add Content to a Module

  • In this article, we will show you how to add content to a module (assignments, pages, quizzes, etc)

1. Click Courses on the left hand side, then click All Courses.

2. Select the course you want to work in.
    Click the Modules tab.
    Then click the +
next to the unit you want to add content to.

3. Select the content type (Assignment, Content Pages, Quizzes, etc.) from the dropdown. 
    Then select the content you want to add.
    Click Add Item.

4. Click the gear icon next to the unit you're adding the content to.
     Click Edit.

5. Click + Add Requirement.

6. Select the content and the requirement for that content from the drop down.
     Then click Update Module.

Note

The requirement options are:
View the item requires students to view the content.
Mark as done requires students to mark the assignment or page as done.
Contribute to the page requires students to post a reply to a non-graded discussion or contribute to a page (if the page is editable for students).
Submit the assignment requires students to submit an assignment, post a reply to a graded discussion, or submit a quiz.
Score at least requires students to meet a defined minimum score.

Note

If your course is active, you can choose to allow students to continue in the course (by clicking Continue) or re-lock the modules until students complete your added requirements (by clicking Re-Lock Modules).

Then you will see your created content listed under the assigned unit.
