Clone an Assignment Attempt

  • In this article, we will show you how to clone an attempt for an assignment in your course

Note

Cloning an assignment attempt takes an attempt a student has already submitted and creates a new attempt for that student with all the same selected answers.

Students can then choose to either resubmit the assignment with their previously selected answer choices, or select new answer choices for that assignment.

  1. Click Courses on the left hand side, then click All Courses.
    • If you're an admin, make sure you have selected the correct school
      and course within that school.
  2. Select the course you want to grade out. 
    Then click the Assignments tab.

    Then click the assignment     you want to clone an attempt for.

  3. Select a student.

    Choose an attempt from the dropdown.
    Then click Clone Attempt.

    Click Clone for Student     to verify.

    Note

    Then you will see the new attempt is in progress for that student. The student can now access this assignment and either resubmit their cloned attempt as is, or retake the assignment and submit.
