- In this article, we will show you how to view the attempt results and grades for an exam
- To learn how to view attempt results for assignments, go here
- Click Courses on the left hand side, then click All Courses.
- If you're an admin, make sure you have selected the correct school
and course within that school.

- Select the course you want to work in.
Click the Assignments tab.
Then select the exam you want to view attempt results for. - There are a few ways you can view exam results.

Latest Attempt Overview
Under Attempts, click Latest.
Note
This breakdown allows you to see the following information only for a student's latest attempt. This may not be their highest scoring attempt.
- view the overall score the student received for this exam
- view the total time the student spent on the exam
- view the date the student took latest attempt of the exam -
Best Attempt Overview
Under Attempts, click Best.
Note
This breakdown allows you to see the following information only for a student's best attempt. This is the highest scoring attempt that will be listed in the gradebook for the student.
- view the overall score the student received for this exam
- view the total time the student spent on the exam
- view the date the student took latest attempt of the exam -
First Attempt Overview
Under Attempts, click First.

This breakdown allows you to see the following information only for a student's first attempt. This may not be their highest scoring attempt.
- view the overall score the student received for this exam

Question Detail View
Click the arrow next to a student's number of attempts.
Click the number of the attempt you want to view.

The Question Detail View allows you to:
- view a student's answer choices for each question
- view whether individual question responses were correct, incorrect or partially correct
- add or reopen an attempt
- view a summary of the attempt

Use SpeedGrader
Click SpeedGrader.
To select a specific student, click the student name at the top.
Then select their name from the dropdown.

SpeedGrader allows you to:
- filter between students' multiple attempts
- view student answer choices for each question in each attempt
- view whether individual question responses were correct or incorrect for a student in each attempt
- update the grade for the exam
