- In this article, we will show you how to add notes about each student to the course gradebook

Adding notes to the gradebook allows you to keep track of information in your course, such as general student performance or progress on specific assignments. Notes are not visible to students.
- Click Courses on the left hand side, then click All Courses.
- If you're an admin, make sure you have selected the correct school
and course within that school.
- If you're an admin, make sure you have selected the correct school
- Select the course you want to work in.
Then click the Grades tab. - Click the gear icon.
Then click Show Notes column. - Click the box for the corresponding student.
Type the note you want to add.
Then click Save.

Then you will see the note for that student. If you choose to hide the notes column, the notes you added will be saved.
