Cross-Organization Communities

  • Updated

Objective: To introduce collaborative groups in StrongMind Central.

Teachers can quickly form groups and invite colleagues from outside their organization to join. This feature fosters inter-school collaboration, allowing teachers to share resources, discuss ideas, and collaborate seamlessly across different institutions.

Create Group

  1. Select + Create New Group button and fill out the required fields to create a customized group.
  2. After creating a group, customize by adding rules and interests in the Admin area.
  3. Post introductory discussion post to engage community members.

Reminder: Only teachers and administrators can create a group.

Invite Members

  1. Select the Invite button in the group's header.
  2. A pop-up will display two options.
    • Search for users in your organization.
    • Copy the direct link to the group that can be shared.

Request Invitations

Once a user receives the direct link, they must follow the link.

  1. Log into StrongMind Central by clicking the invite link.
  2. Once logged in, a message will appear about group privacy. Select the Request to Join button.
  3. The moderator or teacher who created the group will receive notifications to accept or deny the request to join in the Notifications section of the Admin tab.

Cross-Organization Message

If the group is cross-organizational, a message will persist at the top of the group to all members. It is a friendly reminder that the group contains users outside their organization.
